WAS IT INTENTIONAL?

Intentional: deliberate, voluntary, done with intent (purpose)
I’ll write you two stories if time permits and then we will discuss
STORY1
Once upon a time, there lived a poor orphan girl who stayed with her uncle in a foreign land. She lived a pretty humble and obedient life even in the midst of want. She had no definite plans for her future asides the normal everyday life of wake up, do chores and go to bed. She didn’t even have friends and everything was fine with her. But her uncle on the other hand wanted better for her. Maybe because of the bond he shared with her late parents. He wanted to see her shine in the nearest future and would do anything to make that happen. Then time and chance happened. The wicked king divorced and banished his wife just because she wouldn’t agree to dance for him and his drunken friends. The king was a drunk and foolish man. This I say because he always took wrong advice from his loser friends and ran with it to the end no matter how disastrous it was.
Word had gone round that the king wanted another wife. The poor girl’s uncle made sure the girl auditioned for the role and got it. After all, she met the prerequisite for the selection; she was a virgin and she was beautiful.
To cut the long story short, the girl meandered her way into the palace by making friends with the man in charge of the selection and purification of the girls. This man taught her tricks on how to win the King’s heart alongside the beauty treatment all the girls had to go through. She also had a prayer answering God who made a way for her. On selection day, she was crowned queen to the wicked King. He fell mercilessly in love with her. I think her name was Esther.
Becoming queen was not all she wanted. She wanted the King’s heart, so she could rule alongside him. She wanted to change things in the land. She wanted the policies of the land to be favorable to her people who were non-indigenes. And she got it. Not with gragra or even charm but with intentionality.
Esther knew the King’s weak points and leveraged on it to get all she wanted. She was intentional.
Too bad there’s no time for the second story.
So let’s review intentionality in this story.
There is a way to get everything that you want.
My father would always say and I quote “Success does not come by spontaneous combustion”.
Spontaneous combustion in lay man terms is like fire just starting to catch on its own without anyone lighting a match or pouring fuel or an extremely hot temperature.
Same thing goes with goals.
Things don’t just happen because you want them to happen. You must do something to make it happen.
Newton said “A body will remain at rest or in motion until an external force acts upon it”
This means;
A moving train doesn’t just stop.
A house doesn’t just catch fire.
A person doesn’t just slum and die.
A girl doesn’t just get married.
A woman doesn’t just wake up to a pregnancy.
A man doesn’t just beat a woman.
Six-pack doesn’t just grow on one’s stomach.
Everything is life follows the principle of cause and effect.
That being said, the thing you so desire won’t just happen unless you take purposeful steps to make it happen.
Esther would have died a poor orphan woman or girl if her uncle and her didn't take intentional steps
Esther wouldn't have been selected if she didn't make the right friend (connection) in the palace
Esther wouldn't have got her numerous requests from the King if she didn't use the right tactics to make her requests to the him.
In fact, go and read the book of Esther. There are so many great lessons to learn.
Let’s do a small activity now.
Think of something you really want to do/be/have.
Write it down. (Something really petty and a little challenging)
Now outline 6 steps you know you can take to get them
Divide those steps into whatever bits you can.
Then give yourself a timeline, say 4 weeks.
Make sure it’s a really petty thing o.
When you get this done, please share with me and
Apply this formula to other of your desires
Just imagine what life would be like if you did everything with intent (purpose); the way you dress, the way you speak, the way you introduce yourself, the places you visit, the company you keep, the books you read, the movies you watch, the neighborhood in which you reside, etc. It might be a bit programmed but that programming will sure get you your desired output.
I wish you success on this journey and
I would be really excited to hear feedback on your result?
Love, Deedee.
XOXO
